The Jena Band of Choctaw Indians Social Services Department

 Mission/Vision statement is to provide the highest quality of services and benefits to its tribal members to enhance their, economic, mental and social well being. The Social Services Department provides members and other eligible persons with services such as: domestic counseling, psychlogical evaluations as well as individual and family counseling and intervention. We work in conjunction with DCFS (Department of Children and Family Services), advocate within the court system, foster parents and children, provide counsel for private adoptions, and advocate within the local schools.

The Social Services Department works in conjunction with other tribal departments to provide children and youth activities such as the: Annual C.C.H.A.T. Camp (Choctaw Children Heritage and Traditional), educational trips, and weekend retreats to build character, integrity, leadership and social skills to our children and youth.
